Bonus Cartwheel Day
The Living Arts Program from Life Without Barriers SA in partnership with Neami National and Splash Adelaide proudly present: Bonus Cartwheel Day!
Join us on Saturday the 25th February 2017 at Kurrangga Park (corner of Unley & Greenhill Roads, Adelaide) from 10am to 3pm. Bonus Cartwheel Day is a free community run event.
This all ages, interactive picnic encourages all attendees of all ages to contribute to their own creative experiences as part of the Adelaide Fringe. So why not join in and explore arts in your own active way!
“ROLL UP, TUMBLE UP, bring your bicycle wheels, fancy costumes and wiggles to enjoy an interactive picnic celebrating active participation. How would you like the key attraction of this event to be YOU? Create a fancy costume, make some innovative contraptions on wheels, show off some flips or tricks and bring it along to share. Imagine a day to celebrate yourself and indulge in expressive arts, feed your face and bust some moves! Capture a random bubble and share that ‘sensation of specialness’ (like on your birthdays) to all and sundry for FREE.”
While you’re packing your picnic basket why not grab your ukulele, your hula hoops, your colouring in books and crochet hooks! Bikes, interpretive dance moves and outrageous outfits are also welcome because at Bonus Cartwheel Day you and all your creativity are the stars of the show! This colourful family friendly event sets the wheels in motion and the cartwheels spinning for to celebrate inclusivity and diversity through creative endeavours.
The event will also feature roving performers, a busker’s pitch, live music, a kid’s zone, creative and interactive art displays, wellbeing activities, and workshops in BMX, Parkour and Circus. Bring along your gold coins to support the artists who busk and grab some lunch from our fabulous collection of food trucks!
This is a drug and alcohol free event.
