Community Detention Support
Our community detention services support refugees and asylum seekers through accommodation, care planning and case management and community development.
Available in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia, our support services aim to reduce the stress associated with living in community detention in Australia.
We aim to create a home environment to promote the development of life skills to prepare for the responsibilities associated with life in Australia or elsewhere. Within this home like environment, our cultural support workers provide face-to-face support for young people and unaccompanied children on a daily basis to foster individual development.
Families in community detention also have community-based support and are able to move about the community independently while residing at specified accommodation.
