This spacious brick veneer home offers five bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes and large windows that showcase various views of the surrounding landscape. The house features a centrally located kitchen and dining area, two separate living zones, and two shared bathrooms. Residents can enjoy outdoor dining or relaxation in the covered alfresco area. The support team office is centrally positioned, providing residents with convenient access to assistance as required. Additionally, the home includes a large, easily accessible laundry with ample storage, though there are steps leading from the laundry to the outside.
We are currently seeking one male or female housemate who shares the active and social lifestyle enjoyed by our existing residents.

The vacant room, located at the rear of the home, features two windows overlooking the side and backyards. It is conveniently close to one of the shared bathrooms (Bathroom 2), which includes a shower, toilet, and vanity. The room also has built-in wardrobes, with air-conditioning and heating available throughout the unit.

Housemates
The home currently has four male residents, ranging in age from their 30s to 60s. All residents use verbal communication and have well-developed expressive and receptive communication skills, occasionally requiring prompting to assist with expressing their needs. One resident also uses an iPad for communication.
The residents share common hobbies and interests, including attending live theatre, watching movies, football, fishing, basketball, and cooking. They enjoy socialising both with each other and with family and friends.
Location information
This house is located in the North Eastern suburb of Greensborough, just 17 kilometres from Melbourne's CBD. The area offers excellent amenities, including the Greensborough Plaza, a five-minute walk from the home, featuring large chain stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, cafes, and hairdressers. For recreation, Eltham Leisure Centre, HOYTS Cinema, and Oz Tenpin Greensborough Lanes are all within a 10-minute drive, with Glengala Court Reserve just 2 kilometres away.
Public transport is highly accessible, with Greensborough Station only 660 metres from the house, providing easy access to trains and buses. Medical facilities are conveniently located nearby, including Sunrise Medical Centre and Northern Hospital Epping, ensuring comprehensive medical and allied health support.
Accessibility
The property is classified under the SDA design category of Improved Liveability. It has stairs leading from the laundry to the side yard and does not have fully accessible bathrooms, which cannot be easily modified. Restrictive practices include lockable fridge, freezer, and pantry.
Current support model
The house is staffed seven days a week with an Inactive (Sleepover) overnight model of care.
The SIL staff are trained in Positive Behaviour Support, Dual Disability and Ventilator Management (CPAP).
Factors to consider when applying
Life Without Barriers will conduct a screening and suitability assessment to ensure housemates are compatible.
You are aged 18 years or over.
You are eligible for, and able to secure, an appropriate level of NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding.
You have the financial means to pay rent and utilities and are prepared to sign (or for a representative to sign) a service and accommodation agreement.
