Life Without Barriers is an essential service that will remain open and operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and we are actively recruiting new staff to join us at this time.
The work we do at Life Without Barriers is essential. We provide support to people with disabilities, older Australians and children and families in foster care. Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic we will remain open and operational, but due to widespread school closures, we need to adapt to the changing availability of our current workforce.
We are recruiting a stand-by workforce
Due to COVID-19 things are changing daily. Our priorities at this time are to provide continuity of care for the people we support and to keep our staff and clients safe and healthy.
We are currently recruiting a significant number of people to form a stand-by workforce who are ready and available for casual work in Disability Services or in our Child, Youth and Family Services (such as case management in foster care and youth work with young people in residential care).
We are here to support the community through this crisis
We are mindful that thousands of Australians have been stood down or lost their jobs. If you are one of these workers and you find a role that suits your skills and talents, please apply to Life Without Barriers. Your application will be prioritised. We are here, ready and waiting to bring you on board.
The work we do changes lives
We work in a number of areas, but we are specifically recruiting staff to join our Disability, Aged Care and Child, Youth and Family (foster care) Services. These roles are varied, but they all centre on supporting people to be as independent as possible.
It's been the most rewarding job I've ever done, it's the most inspiring, we talk about making a different but it's not just about talking about it
