As one of Australia’s national providers of out-of-home care working with children, young people, carers and community, Life Without Barriers (LWB) proudly participated in the 6th Child Aware conference held in Brisbane last week, 16 and 17 May 2019.

The conference was challenging, vibrant and inspiring. It brought together hundreds of committed leaders to share knowledge, ideas and research to achieve better outcomes for the wellbeing and safety for all children and young people.
LWB presented three abstracts to share our knowledge and research around evidence-informed practices and programs, recruitment and assessment of foster carers, and the concept of relational permanence to inform better policy development.
