Our AWEI accomplishment
The Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) is the definitive national benchmark for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. The Index drives best practice in Australia and sets a comparative benchmark for Australian employers across all sectors.
Life Without Barriers has participated in the AWEI annually since 2018.
We achieved Bronze Tier Status for the third time this year.
Our ranking in the AWEI this year is a testament to the tireless efforts of our team and our commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our LGBTQIA+ employees.

Our participation in the Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards
The Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards is an event celebrating and awarding Australia’s top organisations for LGBTQ+ inclusion based on the results of the AWEI.
As part of this recognition, Pride Without Barriers Committee members had the honour of attending the Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards on 31 May, where we celebrated our accomplishment with other organisations committed to LGBTQIA+ inclusion. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other like-minded organisations and continue our journey toward greater inclusion.
