The South Australian Child Protection Awards, delivered by the Department for Child Protection (DCP) in partnership with the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN), celebrate the outstanding achievements of children and young people, carers, volunteers, staff, and organisations from across the child protection sector.
At Life Without Barriers, we know that each and every one of us plays a part in preventing child abuse and neglect. This event brings issues of child abuse and neglect into the spotlight and asks the whole community to reflect on the roles they can play in protecting the rights of young people.
Life Without Barriers is a proud partner and sponsor of this year's event. We attended the inaugural awards event in 2021 which was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with others in the sector and discuss how we can work together to prevent child abuse and neglect.
We look forward to coming together with our sector and community leaders this year to celebrate the achievements made in keeping South Australian children and young people safe and well. We are especially proud to have been nominated for three categories.

The South Australian Child Protection Awards will be held on 9 September 2022 to coincide with and reflect the theme of National Child Protection Week - 'every child, in every community, needs a fair go’.
There are so many organisations and individuals helping young South Australians in care or at risk of entering care to be safe and reach their full potential.
