Education Webinar: Restorative problem solving

Join the Learning Without Barriers team for a free webinar on Restorative Problem Solving, an evidence-based approach to helping children and caregivers work together to navigate challenges and build skills to manage difficult situations and behaviours.

Also known as collaborative problem solving, this model, developed by Dr. Ross Greene, focuses on identifying and solving the underlying problems causing the challenging behaviours.

In this session, we’ll introduce the Restorative Problem Solving model and explore the practical application of the Assessment of Skills and Unsolved Problems (ASUP) framework.

New South Wales

Multisystemic Therapy Training 2-Day Experiential Workshop

All new Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Training clinicians, supervisors, and some other MST program staff will participate in orientation training designed to prepare MST teams to begin working with young people and their families. This training is only available for these practitioners. The MST Blended Learning Orientation Training consists of 5 components and requires the participant to independently complete online e-learning modules in advance of attending a 2-day experiential training with a live trainer.

  • Date: Monday, 17 March - Tuesday, 18 March

South Australia

Foster Care Information Webinar

Across South Australia, we urgently need people who are willing and able to offer long-term stable homes, short-term emergency care or weekend respite care for children who are unable to live safely with their families.

If you're interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free information session to learn what's involved in becoming a foster carer and whether it's the right fit for you.

During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a foster carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. Our experienced team and a local foster carer will talk you through the process and answer any questions you have - no matter how big or small!

Mount Barker District Horticultural and Agricultural Show

Come down and chat with Life Without Barriers about foster care at the Mount Barker District Show!

This event brings the country to the city with great food, entertainment and a range of stalls. We have a stall at the event and will be ready to answer any questions you have about foster care.

Red Hill Show

This fabulous community event is a great day out for friends and family with entertainment, exhibitions, demonstrations, animals and carnival rides.

Social Football with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club

Life Without Barriers has partnered with with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club to run Social Football Sessions!

These sessions aim to provide people from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and migrants a chance to play, connect, and feel at home in Melbourne, with a focus on building skills, confidence, and connections.

By working together, we aim to strengthen bonds within our local community and create spaces where everyone feels welcome and supported.
