New South Wales
Tamworth Foster Care Information sessions
Across New South Wales, we urgently need people who are willing and able to offer long-term stable homes, short-term emergency care or weekend respite care for children who are unable to live safely with their families.
We welcome carers of any gender, sexuality and culture. You can be single or partnered, working or retired, with or without children of your own. To become a foster carer, your ability to care for and nurture a child is what really matters.
Life Without Barriers will be there to support you every step of the way, providing full training, 24/7 support and financial assistance to help cover the cost of providing care.
If you're interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free information session to learn what's involved in becoming a foster carer and whether it's the right fit for you.
During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a foster carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.

Agfest
Come down and chat with Life Without Barriers at Agfest!
Agfest is a multi-award-winning agricultural event organised by Rural Youth Tasmania volunteer members, celebrating the best in Tasmanian farming.
You can find us at site no.903 on Ninth Avenue to learn about foster care, our services across Tasmania, and employment opportunities with local foster carers and specialist staff available to answer your questions.
There’s something for everyone at our stall, with fun activities for the kids and beautiful handmade art and garden ornaments from our Disability Art Program available for purchase.
We’ve also teamed up with Ashgrove Cheese again this year to raise community awareness that 'Tassie Kids Need Foster Carers'. Stop by our tent or the Ashgrove Cheese stall (site no.7, inside the Dairy Pavilion on South Street) to find out more!

Social Football with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club
Life Without Barriers has partnered with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club to run Social Football Sessions!
These sessions aim to provide people from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and migrants a chance to play, connect, and feel at home in Melbourne, with a focus on building skills, confidence, and connections.
By working together, we aim to strengthen bonds within our local community and create spaces where everyone feels welcome and supported.
