New South Wales
Young People's Employment Pathways Webinar
Join our free information session to learn about employment pathways for young people with disability aged 15 and above!
Our Employment Pathways Coaches will chat about practical ways to explore different careers options and industries, enhance your skills and capacity, and work towards your employment goals. This includes the unique way we deliver NDIS School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES).
Key highlights of the session:
Learn about the diverse options for school leavers.
Gain valuable information to make informed decisions about your post-school pathways.
Hear stories about young people who have successfully gone on to secure jobs or further training opportunities.
This free online event is open to students, parents, carers, support providers, and teachers.

Employment Pathways School Holiday Program
Boost your career skills over the school holidays. Don't miss out on our exclusive School Holidays Employment Pathways Program for young people with disability aged 15-24.
Across a 3-day program, you’ll develop job skills, explore career paths, and make new friends in a supportive and fun environment. This program can be funded tthrough your NDIS budget or paid for privately.

Tee Off for Community
Join Fenner Conveyors for an un-fore-gettable morning in the Hunter raising funds for Life Without Barriers at the Tee Off for Community Golf Day. Registrations are $160 per player and close on Friday, 13 September.
If golf isn’t your cup of tee, you can join the fun with plenty of prizes to be won. You will also have the opportunity to experience the best of the Hunter region with local producer tastings along the course and the event will conclude with a live auction including even more great prizes.

Under 5's Day
Come along to Gatton State School's Under 5's Day for a fun-filled gathering!
The Together4Lockyer, in partnership with Laidley District State School and Child Protection Week, offers this unique and special event celebrating little ones and helping them thrive before five.
Get ready to be thrilled by Drace the Magician, pat farm animals, have your face painted, marvel at giant bubbles and chat to local services.
Life Without Barriers staff and Foster Care Ambassadors will have a stall at the event, and our friendly team will be ready to answer any questions you have about foster care.

Beaudesert Show
Come down and chat with Life Without Barriers about foster care at the Beaudesert Show!
This is a great event for the whole family, with puppet and circus shows, train rides, community art projects, baby farm animals, reptiles, the Grand Parade, sideshow alley and much more!

Rosewood Community Family Fun Day
Visit Life Without Barriers at the Rosewood Community Family Fun Day!
This is a great event for the whole family, with laser tag, a jumping castle, snow and bubble disco, crafts and activities, a sausage sizzle and information stalls - including our stall where we are chatting all things foster care.

Brisbane Pride Rally and March
Join Life Without Barriers at the Brisbane Pride Rally and March! Before the march begins, listen to inspiring speeches from LGBTQIA+ activists and allies, personal stories from community members, updates on current LGBTQIA+ issues and progress, and take part in a moment of silence to remember members of the LGBTQIA+ community that we have lost.
The thunderous Dykes on Bikes will lead the march, with community groups and allies marching side by side, and colourful floats and performances along the route.

Brisbane Pride Fair Day
It's time for the 2024 Brisbane Pride Fair Day hosted by Brisbane Pride in Musgrave Park!
Join the Brisbane Pride Festival Fair Day as Musgrave Park transforms into an energetic and fun filled loud and proud playground. Complete with live performances, exciting and enticing stalls and delicious street food.
We will have a community stall at the Fair Day chat about the services we offer and all things foster care.

Riverland Foster Care Information Session
If you're interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free information session to learn what's involved in becoming a foster carer and whether it's the right fit for you.
During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a foster carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. Our experienced team and a local foster carer will talk you through the process and answer any questions you have - no matter how big or small!
